craftyhunnypie
Hi - I had a good recipe for a cheesecake & I've flippin' lost it. Want to make it for tomorrow night - typical! It had digestive biscuit, butter & syrup base. Then you beat together Cream cheese, icing sugar & double cream for the topping & top with fruit of your choice. Best with Raspberries. Anyone know the recipe? Help before time runs out! Please! Emma.x
wannabe smallholder
I always do the Philedelphia recipe but can't find it!!! Have you tried googling philedelphia. They do loads of recipes so I'm sure it'll be on somewhere. Good luck! Pity online food tasting not been invented yet or you could have given us all a try when you'd made it! quickcluck
I always use this one! use your usual biscuit base Soften 1lb curd/philli with 3oz butter. Add 4oz castor sugar, 1 egg and some vanilla and mix it really well until smooth. Bake 180 for 25mins it'll be springy. Top it when it's cold - voila! yummy! ClaireG
I made this one yesterday It doesn't have syrup in the base but uses everything you said in the filling. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4653/strawberry-cheesecake-in-4-easy-steps-
Duncan08
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/baileysandchocolatec_72293 I have made this before, lovely. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/vanillaandgingerbrea_84059 This one is also really nice, you don't need to dry out the ginger cake the night before, just break it into pieces, whizz it with a hand blender, spread it on a baking tray and put it in a low oven for half an hour or so, then whizz it again to get fine crumbs. We didn't have chef rings the first time we made it and used sawn up circles of drainpipe, (new of course ) looks quite impressive when you have guests. You could also make it in teacups/ ramekins with some crumbs in the bottom and then over the top.
