I bought white and partridge hatching eggs. In the photo below, you can see pekins and 3 silkie chicks - 2 white silkies and 1 partridge, apparently:-

 

And a close up of the 'partridge' chick, but we think he/she might be white... but not partridge:-

 

What do you think?

I would say white

 

Partridge chicks are stripey. It could be gold I guess but I'd expect it to be darker

It is slightly darker than the other 2 silkies and we've been waiting for it to 'grow into' being partridge but it's not happening. Then I did a Google search Shame - OH wanted a partridge.

Yup, looks like it'll be white. As Tasha said, partridge chicks are like wee humbugs.

What kind of partridge are they (gold, buff etc)? I dont think all partridge silkies will necessarily be humbug

If it was going to be white I'd expect an all yellow chick but that's not. My money is on neither partridge or white Maybe a very pale goldy sort of colour?

I don't know what kind of partridge, I was just informed that I had 3white and 3partridge eggs, and they were marked. So it might be a surprise colour?! Oo the suspense!!

There is only one partridge in Silkie world and they arent plain when they hatch

By coincidence I had some partridge Silkies hatch today so snapped a pic

 

 

On having a closer look at your chick I think Griffin is correct and it will be gold

Thanks for posting that, what a cutie. Oo we may have a gold silkie.. But definitely not partridge going by your picture. I wonder of the other 2 silkies are actually white - I have no faith in the egg markings now.

It looks like a gold Silkie or maybe even a red Silkie.
