Hope my Girlies are OK and there coop doesn't blow away

I hope your house won't blow away, and that you don't wake up at 2am to find your house upside and halfway down your garden as I did!

Phew! The coop was still there this morning!

Girls ok and two eggs waiting for me

I woke up at 2 am worrying about the girls ....

It's a bright sunny day now but all the trees are dancing like crazy in the high winds

The girls have tucked themselves btween the back fence and the shed

Don't blame them clever things

Nope, I haven't put a photo up but I have said about it before though

Here we had over 4 inches of rain yesterday and very high winds just to add to the fun . Kitchen ceiling produced a slight leak under the flat roofed part, but we put a bucket under it and very little water came though, considering the amount coming down outside. Girlies spent most of the day back in the staying warm and dry. Both cubes stayed put

 

Thankfully we live near the top of a hill, so well away from all the flooding, but it looks very unpleasant out there, with lots of news coverage of people wading through streets waist-deep
