They are hybrids, essentially a Rhode Island red x Light Sussex (though of course the exact family tree and exact strains are kept very secret) usually much of a muchness they are sold under different names depening on the company of origin, the names include: Lohman Brown, ISA brown Gingernut Ranger and Warren
