What a racket !!!!!!

 

The poor chickies can't decide what is going on

They are only 10 weeks old bless em.

They stand on their tip toes to see what on earth is making the terrible noise.

 

it's deafening and like a massive thunderstorm.

Oh well, only another ....................days to go

You got me thinking... How do chickens cope with other noises like bonfire night? Do you house them differently? Xxx

wannabe smallholder, most noises don't seem to bother the girls once they are fast asleep.

I always check on my girls once the fireworks have stopped and they always seem pretty happy and snug together.

 

As for the planes, they are during the day - and the most noisy later in the afternoon, one of those Typhoon things I think - so my little chicks are quite nervous about them, especially as they can't see the planes.

The noise from a typhoon is one of the most impressive if noisest things ive ever heard! I get why your babies were so un-nerved! Bless xx

just a thought... might they be happier with the run covered? (a sheet maybe?) might make them feel more secure....

My DS is stationed at RAF Odiham what do your girls & chicks make of the Chinooks flying over your way

The chinooks haven't been over here for a while, so they are not that bothered by them.

I think the chinooks are doing something for the Olympics instead.
