Golda's foster chick is now 5 weeks old. Can anyone tell his/her sex and breed from the pic??! Would be grateful for expert advice. Obviously hope she's a girl...

Have found out that he/she is a chamois owlbeard, one of the rarest colours and breeds in the UK! However, still don't know if I have a boy or girl...

I dont think that officially they come in Chamois

 

The beard will make it harder to sex, at present its head looks girly but the stance and legs are very male looking

It looks a little bit Araucana to me - what would you say Redwing? I agree, head gear looks female, stance male. Hmmm.

Thanks both for your comments. Maybe I'll post another pic in a week or two and things might become clearer....! As Redwing suggested a while back, I'm hoping to get another chick in a week or two of the same breed and similar age to keep the chick company when Golda returns to the flock.
