Chicken deficient
I've been teaching my newbies how to drink from the nipples on the Superglug that came with my Cube. They are now great at it and now have fresh water all day - they were paddling and messing in everything else I tried to give them water in. So, I just looked in the Omlet shop, to buy another one, (one for Cube, one for Classic), and woe is me, it has no nipples! Help! Any suggestions? Redwing
Solway feeders do the nipples as an individual product I think so you could drill holes in a new glug and make a drinker yourself the individual drippers fit well to the cap of a 2litre bottle fixed upside down too or an old catering plastic tub If you dont fancy the DIY route maybe put a wanted post on here? plenty of people will have these tucked away in their sheds because they lost patience with them or the chooks refused to use them! Chicken deficient
Thanks for those suggestions. Hi from Hilda, Helga and Heidi! What problems do they have that people lose patience with? I know they freeze up easily in winter, but before I embark on a mission to find another one, I thought it would be sensible to ask!
Lewis
I hang mine lower down so the big girls can drink from the top + little pekins can use the nipples - its a bit too deep to drink from the top for littlies when its been in there all day! Give Omlet a ring - they may have a couple with nipples in the warehouse you could buy.
Margaret
I have a brand new pink one if you would like it
stu
I just assumed they were all h same. My chicken managed to drink from it very quickly, and now don't need an open water dish at all. Mine drips though... is this possible to fix? I see it has a 'nut' fastening, but am reluctant to try, in case I break it.
