Wanted - Eglu Cube Mk1 Roosting Bars

I am trying to suspend the drinker from the WIR roof so the water does not get dirty which it does when sitting on the floor of the run. I want a bungee type thing with a hook at each end but without the elastication (poor chooks )

Has anyone any ideas about how I can do this? At present it hangs from the hook in the roof and suspended with thin rope but I have to untie the rope each time I fill the drinker which is a pain How do other Omleteers do it?

I use the glug but have used hanging drinkers before & my feeder is a suspended one. I hang it from the roof. I use garden wire which is just bent around the roof bars & twisted so it doesn't come off. Then I have got a keying clip on the end of the wire which just hooks around the handle of the feeder. You just un clip it when you want to remove or refill. Nothing very technical!!

What about some chain and 'S' hooks, available from places like B&Q. That's what I've got my treat feeder hung with. Xx

Keep your rope but knot the feeder end to a carabiner clip so that you can simply unclip the feeder to fill it, or butchers hooks work well too

 

I do have couple of brilliant chains about 4ft long with a clip on either end, they are made by a parrot toy company I think..

I just unbent a wire coat hanger - does the job. Otherwise ring up Cotswold Chickens, they're not in their online shop, but they have chains with hooks at either end as mentioned above by Tasha.
