It looked like the connection to the over flow had sprung a leak but when OH had a closer look the cistern has a crack in it. The carpet (not my choice of flooring) is soaked. Not sure how or why it should crack. We now have a new toilet which OH has been busy fitting, have one small leak on the water in pipe that we will need to sort out tomorrow.
