I must point out that as a married woman (happily for nearly 10 years), I would certainly never encourage such behaviour, but I can't help but grin about it this morning! Apparantly after I left he tried to get my number from one of my friends, so I'm going to assume that it was a 19 year olds attempt at a compliment!

On the subject of compliments (I am not really an old crone - yet).

 

I once had a compliment paid to me by Trinny and Susannah - only one mind you amongst all the insults. But a memorable one - and I quote from the Daily Mail, so it must be true....

 

'In her favour, she has the chest of an 18 year old Page 3 girl'

No I do not have it framed - and I hid for three days when it appeared in the national press.

 

One of my sons got an email from a friend in Australia, asking if it was for real. Not the compliment, the rest of it.

 

The other son said thankgoodness I had remarried and no longer had the unusual name as theirs.

 

That'll teach me to reply to newspaper articles that say...Would you like to.......
