Fox shock

Recommended Posts

Whilst standing chatting to my girls at 10.30 am, I was stunned to watch a fox walk straight past me down the path and try to attack my little hen Bonnie who was quietly sitting in her Eglu run! Poor Bonnie hasn't had much luck, what with being an ex-battery hen, bottom of the pecking order, deformed beak, attacked by my two large chickens and now the fox has a go! She screamed the place down.

I can only say it was the last straw and on her behalf I charged at him, roaring at the top of my voice  You can no doubt tell that my neighbours have a lot of fun watching the antics in our garden

After chasing him full pelt up the garden, with him slipping and sliding all the way, I was worn out. No doubt he will be back, but hope I have scared him for a short time :anxious:

Can you believe it, broad day light with me standing there! Luckily my girls don't free range - they have a large run - as he would have got them, no doubt at all.
