Mrs Webmuppet
I have just ordered one of these gizmos............does anyone one have one of the gadgets? does anyone have a fool proof recipe? LMW has a real weakness for waffles hence the purchase! http://www.lakeland.co.uk/16267/Sweet-Treats-Waffle-Stick-Maker
craftyhunnypie
I've seen this is the Lakeland catalogue, it looks very fascinating. Let me know how you go on with it, as it may be a good Xmas present for one of my family. Emma.x
Luvachicken
Oooooo yummy, I have a proper waffle maker and it makes the yummiest waffles, so I imagine a stick waffle would be just as yummy. Can you tell I like waffles , yummy.

craftyhunnypie
Did it arrive? Emma.x
Mrs Webmuppet
It has arrived and in LMW words 'it is awesome!!!!!!!!' We made half a batch of Rachel Allens waffle mix ( we had the ingredients in the house for her recipe) and we made about 30 stick waffles ( it was hard to keep count as LMW was scoffing them as fast as I could make them) she served them with ice cream, chocolate and strawberries. The strawberries were a feeble effort to counter the calories in the rest of it. The few that LMW didn't eat have gone in the freezer. craftyhunnypie
Ha ha! So she enjoyed them then? How big are the wafflesticks it makes? Emma.x
Mrs Webmuppet
It makes 6 waffle sticks a go and they are about 11cm x3cm each. Perfect snack size for kids. According to the instructions the waffle sticks can be put on lolly sticks covered in chocolate and sprinkled with 100's and 1000's. No chance in this house, they would be hoovered up before they got put on the lolly sticks! LMW is now working out if she can talk the house mistress at school into getting a waffle maker! craftyhunnypie
Heck! Don't tell LMW that you can also get pie pop makers, doughnut makers, pancake makers & whoopie pie makers! I bought a gadget the other day to form cake pops with. It looks like a pair of scissors & is actually a meatball former / maker. I do actually make my own meatballs, but I also fancy a go at proper cake pops. Emma.x
Mrs Webmuppet
We already have a mini doughnut baking tin and I am the pancake maker ( and many is the time I have had a kitchen full of kids wanting pancakes !). LMW has seen the cupcake machine but said ' what a silly idea when I can just make the mix put it in cases and bung it in the oven' - she frequently whips up a batch of fairy cakes when I'm gardening or cleaning out chooks!
