Mr Rhode Island Red
Hi, A relative of mine was showing me photos on taken on her cameraphone that were taken a long long time ago in 2005. They were rather reminiscent of times gone by. She was wondering how she would move them to a computer, so that when this (truly ancient) phone gave up the ghost, the pictures would be ok. Since I am the most tech-savvy in the family. I was left with the task of finding out. And it seems like it could be quite tricky. This is the phone in question: It is a motorola V560. This was high tech back in 2005, apparently. There isn't any memory card in the phone. All the pictures are on the phone memory (they are only VGA quality). There doesn't appear to be a cable to connect the phone to a PC either. Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can get these pictures onto a computer? majorbloodnock
Well, Bluetooth is a possibility. This page shows it as a communications medium in that phone's "Ooops, word censored!"nal....
Cinnamon
You say that they are on the phone memory - is there an option to save or transfer them to a sim? If so, you should be able to take that phone & a more modern phone to somewhere like Vodafone (if you are with them) & they can plug both phones into a machine to transfer them to your more modern phone, from which you can them move them to a computer. As The Major says though,Bluetooth should be the less complicated option
majorbloodnock
...As The Major says... Since when did I get promoted to title case?
Geoid
Looks like bluetooth is the best (and easiest) way, as that phone has no USB capability.
Charlottechicken
Is it possible to message them to a more modern phone and get to them that way? Or email them? You have got me thinking now actually, I have a few photos on my phone which I would really like to get on to my external hard drive, might try messaging them to OH's iphone
Lavenders_Blue
I have an ancient phone - designed really only to send photo texts. The only way to get the photos off my phone is to text them to another (more modern!) phone and then download them from that phone. Thankfully the photo quality on my phone is so rubbish that I very rarely want to do this
