Help moving photos off an ancient phone to my computer

Recommended Posts

Hi,

A relative of mine was showing me photos on taken on her cameraphone that were taken a long long time ago in 2005. They were rather reminiscent of times gone by. She was wondering how she would move them to a computer, so that when this (truly ancient) phone gave up the ghost, the pictures would be ok.

Since I am the most tech-savvy in the family. I was left with the task of finding out. And it seems like it could be quite tricky. This is the phone in question:

It is a motorola V560. This was high tech back in 2005, apparently.

There isn't any memory card in the phone. All the pictures are on the phone memory (they are only VGA quality).

There doesn't appear to be a cable to connect the phone to a PC either.

Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can get these pictures onto a computer?

You say that they are on the phone memory - is there an option to save or transfer them to a sim?

If so, you should be able to take that phone & a more modern phone to somewhere like Vodafone (if you are with them) & they can plug both phones into a machine to transfer them to your more modern phone, from which you can them move them to a computer.

As The Major says though,Bluetooth should be the less complicated option
