My little Dizzy (gold laced Poland) never turned up and I still miss her loads, but yesterday Leanne (miller30) let us have the most delightful little Guinness Poland. Not phased by her new home, here Dee Dee is taking a swing in the sun on Rob's (House MD's) swing

 

 

It was such a nice thing to see that it fair blew away all the blues I've been feeling over the past week and I had to post a pix even though the contrasts are all wrong

Dee Dee is just sweet and has fitted in like she has always been here. One of my other Polands (Dotty) has the ump a bit but she is easily avoided by Dee Dee in amongst the plants and box hedging and as for my white splash Poland Dandy, well Dee Dee thought she had immediate recognition of her old friend at your place . . . till she found he was a boy

I can just imagine her thinking where have you been oops your not my friend lets hope he stays a nice boy and dont forget if he doesnt your more than welcome to come back and get her friend .I also had another load of heavy rain last night which didnt help with my over flowing pond issue .

Dee Dee is lovely, so pleased to hear things are getting better.

I now have 2 Pom Pom girls, very scatty and timid at the moment but will hopefully settle down when they grow up

Miller30, My brother lives in Fareham, and always popping around to see him, maybe if you have any other lovely girls that you would like to travel the world ( Kent ) I am on the look out for new mini additions to add to Peckinham Palace, maybe you could pm me sometime, especially if you have frizzles.

I find Pom Pom girls get lovely and tame. In fact I think they are probably the tamest of all my girls. Little Dee Dee was even looking in the kitchen door a few minutes ago and as Leanne does lots of playing with her chickens she is quite happy to be picked up (Dee Dee that is, not Leanne)

 

Don't forget, Margaret, that there is a source of Frizzles near me and if you should come this way you can always be sure of lunch

I need to find another Silkie after losing my beloved little Brillo on Sunday, Costa is a bit unsure about it all even though they were only friends for a couple of months.

daxigirl - why not contact Rachel from Hamble Valley Poultry on 07738570740 as I had reserved a cuckoo silkie that was to be ready in about 2 weeks, and have had to turn it down. OH had a wobbly about my chicken numbers after one of my Polands turned into a boy and another disappeared and though he is feeling a lot happier now and really loves little Dee Dee, I will need to wait till next year before I go over to Rachel and go up to 10 but on that, I'm not defeated yet .

 

Rachel's chickens are all in very good health and if you should end up with a boy she will take him back. She is near you and if you go there you could see the Polands too and get an idea of whether or not they might be for you. Also Leanne has a very pretty white splash girl still (which I'd have loved to have taken).
