Leicester_H
Hi I want a wireless weather station with 3 external/outdoor temperature sensors (with ability to log max/min temps). - one for outdoors, one for eglu(!) and one for greenhouse. Ideally I'd like atmospheric pressure (but not essential). Don't want wind or rain sensors. I bought this one http://www.weathershop.co.uk/shop/technoline-ws9032-weather-station with 2 additional (supposedly compatible) outdoor sensors. but returned it because I kept loosing the signal from the additional outdoor sensors (only 5m outside back door - supposedly worked up to 100m!) Anyone got any suggestions/experience ?? H
Eggasperated
I've got an Oregon Scientific one that I've had for several years now, I have four sensors (although I believe it only came with a couple and I bought the extra ones separately). The farthest one is in my polytunnel roughly 50m from the house and I have had no trouble with losing the signal no matter what the weather, and my house has thick stone walls so it must be a pretty good signal My dad had an Oregon Scientific years ago that lasted for about 15 years - in fact the remote sensors still work but the main unit keeps saying it needs new batteries and needs resetting, but I've given up trying to find out what's wrong with it, I could probably sort that out if I put my mind to it. Anyway, I would recommend looking at their website Oregon Scientific as they have lots of different models.
Luvachicken
I have 2 weather stations that are both wireless. One is an Oregon one and the other is Vion. I love my Vion one because it gives me weather warnings such as a flashing windsock and my favourite of all the features is the snowcloud with little snowflakes coming from it. I get really excited when I see that
Angie
I have a weather station, i love it . The main box sits on the top of the kitchen radio . I have a sensor in the Cube / WIR and one in the garden. It tells me the temp and humidity, and the weather for the day. Sunny , cloudy or rain, ( it doesn't have anything for snow. ) Also the temp and humidity of the kitchen, I find it a useful gadget.
chickencam
Maplins do a couple of weather stations, I have the USB one but don't bother with the computer side of it. It has an outdoor sensor that tells me the temperature, pressure, wind speed, humidity and rainfall totals. It also has an indoor sensor that tells me what the indoor temperature, pressure and humidity are.
Leicester_H
Thanks all - I was tending towards Oregon - so your reassurances have almost made up my mind. H
