Water, cider vinegar and tonic question

Recommended Posts

Ok, I specially bought a plastic drinker to put the cider vinegar in and they enjoy drinking it, and they have had normal water too at the same time. I also have poultry tonic for when they are moulting.

When I was out today, a bottle of cider vinegar said to give it for a week every month. The bottle I have doesn't say how often to give it.

What is the best drinking order to give them ?

I think like a lot of things it's personal choice :D I do tend to give it for a few days in a row every 3-4 weeks. At the moment I'm giving mine the nettex tonic the rest of the time as Molly is getting over a moult and Martha has just come in to lay  I always have a couple of peeled garlic cloves in my drinker whatever else I add!!! I find it doesn't taint the eggs and they still get the garlicky goodness

Oh I've just invested in some life guard as my nettex tonic is coming to an end and lots of people on here speak so highly of it!! Was also thinking of getting some respite towards next autumn for cases of the sniffles/colds. Can anyone reccomend it??

I used Cider Vinegar years ago and my girls never seemed to like it :|

I only use Herban now...just a tiny drop in each Glug and a little Poultry Spice mixed in with their pellets. I love these two products and I think they're keeping my girls in excellent condition :D The Batties seem to be thriving on this combo too...Eve in particular has lots of lovely new feathers growing at a rate of knots

I have respite! Bought it as Connie kept sneezing, has been banished to the garage as it stinks and took weeks to wash the smell out of the glug! Connie still sneezes occasionally, think her "hair" gets up her beak!! Had heard good things so not advice against just a warning re the smell!!
