Meat Mincer

 

I think it is a fantastic little piece of equipment, have just minced over 1Kg raw beef with no effort whatsoever.

Also minces cooked meats. I have used mine a lot.

Not tried it, but it looks similar in design to the ancient metal one my mum used to use to grind up the leftover roast with many years ago!

I've got an ancient metal one, it's fantastic. I love it for making burgers that aren't full of things you don't want in there, and for left over roasts to make into a hash/mash fry up.

I have an ancient one somewhere too - was my mums and was used to mince up roasts and gammon. Must look for it - not seen in a while!

I have promised my daughter that I will get her one when she gets her own place - very useful. I am sure you could make baby food in it as well.

I have a similar attachment for my Kenwood and we use it for mincing up mainly cold roast lamb to make shepherds pie, it is so much nicer if it is minced and the fat get evenly distributed.

I've just been to Lakeland

I bought the mincer and I'm looking forward to mincing up the leftovers from today's roast lamb.

Has anyone used the pasta attachments?

Ooh I like the idea of using it to chop onions - something I find really fiddly and a pain to do. And making spaghetti....

Think it's grate to have your own mincer...u use quality and know what's you are mincing...

I have tried mincing onions in my meat mincer from Lakeland but I found the pieces a bit too slippery to go in successfully without cutting them fairly small - which sort of defeats the object of using the mincer. I have not used the pasta attachments yet. This is partly because I have a pasta roller with cutters and I use that when making pasta.
