Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I love my egg skelter - but we are about to rehome some Bantams. Can anyone tell me if the bantam eggs will fit the Egg Skelter or are they too small?!

My bantam eggs are too small but saying that it depends on the size of eggs the bantams lay . My two Wyandottes have been laying for a few weeks now and some are just big enough not to fall through the gap but earlier eggs were too small and my mini silkie egg (I have only had 1 so far) is much too small.

 

What type of bantams are you rehoming?

 

I love my egg skelter too I was considering getting a bantam one but I already have two and OH may complain

I'm not sure ... a friend of mine lost her sister last year - she had hens and her widower doesn't want them so we agreed to take them on. So I know they won't be young birds, but we'll love them anyway and if we have to buy eggs, well .. so what?!

Hi I have pekin bantams and recently treated myself to the egg ramp from omlet (duck egg blue ) the eggs are very secure on it and look good too

I have bantams too.

My dad made me an eggy bunk bed, perhaps someone could make you something similar.

We keep our Pekin eggs on the egg skelter with the large fowl eggs - the first few weeks of laying the Pekin eggs were a bit small and kept jamming up the skelter, but now that they're a bit bigger (about 40g) they're generally OK.
