Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Well, OH has gone to the rugby this evening, so we had our main meal at noon (nice piece of baked haddock and chips with mushy peas). I got a bit peckish so am indulging in a glass of red wine with a....beef and tomato pot noodle

 

I know how to live!

Well, just to top off the evening I'm watching 'Snog, Marry, Avoid' on the telly

I love my home alone evenings

Tonight one daughter is at uni,one at her boyfs & Hubby is doing Masonic things.

I forgot to get my planned supper out of the freezer,but had enough veg to make a ratatouille with an egg cracked on top, sprinkled with cheese & chilli & grilled until bubbly

I also had a glass or 2 of red, watched the latest Twilight movie (rubbish) & am now in bed with a g&t, watching The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Again

Last night oh was away so had Heinz beans and sausage on toast and a glass of red wine

OH got home, just as I'd started getting organic veg out of the locally grown veg box to start making a nice supper.

"Stop!" He said, obviously having done a bit of hunter-gathering on the way home and suddenly supper was Quorn ready meal curry and chips with ketchup and mayonnaise

There are times in life when only junk food will do. I eat well and hate rubbish as a rule, but despite this I love the odd takeaway, or egg and chips. We had frozen Puka pies for tea after work one day last week, they cooked in the microwave in 3 1/2 minutes and then went nt the oven while the oven chips finished cooking, they were pretty good actually, the pastry was lovely so much nicer than the pastry on the 'fresh' Puka pies more shortcrust.

 

Trashy telly is the same too, sometimes it really hits the spot.
