Leicester_H
Hi We are in the process of building a 6'x 6' x 12' WIR which will have 2 classic eglus inside. Initially, they will be on the floor but we plan to put one above the other once the hens are settled. We plan to get ex-bats. When I spoke to the BHWT they said that each eglu could only sleep 3 ex-bats as they were 'big girls' (so we could only have 6 girls) - are ex-bats generally larger than Omlet girls (2 omlet girls seem to easily fit in the next box leaving room for at least 2 more - if not more)? Comments/advice please ? H
Cheeky Chooky
I would say 4 Ex-Batts to one would be fine.
Purplemaniacs
Agnes, Agattha and Annie, the A team were very happy in the I am sure there was room for one more. Chrissie
Leicester_H
Thanks - I though 4 would be OK. Since some may not last that long and introductions are tricky, I think I'll go for 7 or 8. With lots of branches and shelves etc, I think a 12' x 6' run will be fine. H
kentuckyfried
We have 4 ex bats in a classic, and 2 in the other one. They chose that (waving hello from Wigston)
