OH thought it appeared to be a glorified car boot sale. I am considering the show at Weald and Downland instead with the traditional breeds. Hopefully it will be a tad cooler - not going anywhere in this heat! But if anyone has been and our second thoughts were wrong, then please let me know for next year. And it was horrible, too hot, all the animals looked as though they were at deaths door in the heat and all the poultry seemed sold by 1pm...wished we hadn't bothered.... cluckfest Posted July 8, 2013 Share Posted July 8, 2013 We went very early on Saturday morning, not too impressed although I don't have much experience to judge by. Most of the hens were either very young or sold as a pair or trio including a cockerel, so no good for me.
