quickcluck
Well I just made and Orange one. Carrot, apple and lemon. It's a breakfast one and not bad for a first attempt! Juicer seemed fine, and I s"Ooops, word censored!"ed out the pulp, and gave that and the peelings to the chooks!

quickcluck
did green ginger ale instead! celery, cucumber, apple lime and I had to add a bit of pineapple! It made a huge amount of juice!
Gertie
My partner tried to made a mean green. Minus the lime as nowhere had one on Sunday. Can't say I was overly keen. I think we will be doing the detox for 10 days. My partner bought kale, a courgette instead of a cucumber & pears. He then added raspberries & celery. It tasted like vegetable soup with a sweet aftertaste. I'm going to stick to fruit OR vegetables for mine!!
Mercedes55
I thought the programme was brilliant and it was quite inspiring. I don't need to lose weight but I know we buy food that is unhealthy so a juicer is a good idea as although it's easy to eat fruit, most vegetables are horrible raw, apart from carrots. Also don't think I could eat the amount that you need to eat without spending all day chewing it all
quickcluck
Had un beetable this morning, think this was my hardest yet, added some celery to it which helped! cook kwiwi later.. then DAY 1 TOMORROW I agree M we would turn into rabbits! Edit to say had Green strawberry instead, used more than 6 but quite nice
Angie
Well it has arrived, a day late but never mind. It isn't as heavy as i imagined and very easy to use. Fab apple juice this morning.Off shopping with veggi list now......lots of fruits, ginger and cinnamon too. I've already been getting used to green tea and extra water.....prefer my coffee though. Wonder if decaff is allowed ?
Lavenders_Blue
I have a juicer lurking at the back of my kitchen cupboard somewhere, I may be inspired to dig it out and get juicing again. I used to really like carrot, apple and ginger - sweet but zingy. Beetroot is also surprisingly good in a juice but turns your wee pink! I seem to remember that cucumber is not pleasant, although I love eating the stuff. I've also got a manual wheatgrass juicer which I used to use quite a bit until I got fed up with trays of wheatgrass all over the kitchen and I ended up feeding the wheat to the hens
Angie
Oh dear me !!!! mid morning is green lemonade....It does not in any way resemble lemonade except for the lemon and it is very very green , as for the taste I had a sip and shivered, i had to put it down and walk away. I have gone back to it and the second sip wasn't like the first nor was the third. Too much spinach and lemon for me. It will need modifying next time around. I keep telling myself it is good for me and very healthy. One thing i have discovered how i am drawn to the sweet things and the bright coloured juices....the green does taste like grass with whatever added. The chooks don't mind the pulp though. Oh i have lost 2lbs.
