Yeah, I know I need to slice it up so they can share, but what I really want to know is can they have it cold, straight from the fridge ? Or do they need it at room temp ?

It's only that it's been so hot and the shop had a huge piece for £1 so I got it for them as a treat - something nice and refreshing, but I didn't want to chill their tummies.

Oh, and what about the pips - can they eat them ?

I just put wedges including pips on a tray, they peck away at it ...They love that nearly as much as meal worms .

I just cut it in half and put it in the run, it's gone in seconds, I have also been putting sliced up iceburg lettuce in water which they love!
