So how did this happen?

Recommended Posts

I went shopping with my list today. A cream legbar and a welsummer were on my list. I still have two ex-batts Mary and Ivy, so four would be a nice number. Today though Mary has gone into a decline and I know with the ex-batts she won't recover, although usually the decline isn't as rapid as hers has been.

Anyway so I choose my cream legbar and welsummer and then my husband says "as Mary isn't looking good maybe we should take three"

Now I have said time again, I don't want an Orpington, too heavy, too broody. But the farmer picked up this mound of black feathers (just like the beautiful Marigold chicken) and said you need one of these.

So now for some totally mad reason I have Meva the legbar, Issey the Welsummer and Octavia the most enormous (and she is only 12 weeks) Orpington.

I hope I don't live to regret it, please someone tell me I won't :anxious::anxious::anxious:
