munkee1965
I've just been sitting with the girls and noticed my Partridge Leghorne doing something very strange. She's wandering around picking up bits of straw, twigs, and feathers and putting them on her back. Has anyone any idea what she's up to?? Patricia W
It's nesting behaviour. She may be thinking of going broody so it doesn't necessarily mean eggs, I'm afraid. But you never know!
auntielizzie
One of my girls does this too - usually when she's sat in the nest box, but I've also seen her doing it at bed time when I go to shut them in for the night. I guess it's just a nesting thing or something - who knows what goes on in their tiny minds You got to love them though
