Luvachicken
I went on a little beading course last week and have become hooked on what I made. I managed to get some more beads from Hobbycraft, but not really the ones I wanted - I really need a silver ball bead. I looked on Hobbycraft's website and although it shows all the beads, it only lists the colours as numbers. I also looked on Google for beads but just wanted a simple website display showing the colour of the beads and their name colour. It is Gutermann beads I am after. Any ideas ? Plum
Bit like looking for a needle in a haystack. Why not ask the tutor where they came from? perhaps she'll sell you some?
Luvachicken
Thanks Plum. The tutor said she got them from Hobbycraft. I did manage to get some more from there but they didn't have the colours she had. Never mind, there is a gem and bead show at the Farnham Maltings tomorrow and Sunday so I might go and have a look and see what they have. Luvachicken
Well, what a disappointment the gem and bead show was It cost me £4 to get in and there was just one room of stuff A total waste of time and money. I'd have been better off driving all over the place looking in nice shops on the chance they had what I needed. So frustrating and I could have spent the £4 in Hobbycraft in the first place. Patricia W
There's a bead shop down a side street in Winchester. I go past it when I walk from the main shopping centre down to the Leisure Centre (which is where I park because it's cheap). Might be worth googling " beads in Winchester" as I think they also do mail order.

Patricia W
Found it! It's called World of Beads and it's on Parchment St Winchester. I'm never used beads, but some look luscious.
Luvachicken
I must admit I needed a new little hobby and I'm very pleased with what I made on the course, and I'm even more pleased that I have made another one by myself at home That's why I need the beads that we used on the course, so I know I will do it right and it will come out the same. Patricia, I looked at the shop and they do have lots of lovely beads but not in the number I need (size), but I have found a lovely shop that does mail order in Nottingham and has what I might want
