I was just doing my mother's Ocado shop and spotted that they now do chicken things in their new pet shop 'Fetch' . Thinking this could be useful if I just need the odd thing for my chooks. Has anyone tried it? What is the quality like?

just been an had a look and can't see anything for chooks - what kind of things did you find?

You need to click 'Birds' and then 'Chicken Products'. I can see grit, apple cider vinegar, layers pellets, various chicken treats etc. What I thought is that if I was doing a general Ocado order and needed something as a one off then doing so through Ocado might save on postage fees. On the other hand perhaps people are not as disorganised as I am Also I admit that looking at chicken products would brighten up my normal shop (mad chicken lady that I am )

Interesting - I can't see any of that.

Under birds I just get food, toys, feeders etc and mirrors

Tried on another browser (where I'm not logged in) and get the same - no chook goodies!

Putting 'layers pellets' etc doesn't turn up anything either

Must be a regional thing?

 

I'm disappointed!

Buying stuff for the hens would indeed cheer up grocery shopping

You are sure you are looking on their 'Fetch' tab? Anyway it is all at https://fetch.co.uk/birds/chicken-products

I think Fetch is seperate to Ocado, not sure will give it a go. It is owned/run by ocado

Just checked it out. It is separate, and stuff isn't cheap £14.99 for 15kg of pellets!

Aha. Mystery solved. You need to register/link the accounts before you can see the Fetch tab. And they only deliver the Fetch stuff in some areas - not mine.

 

Agreed with Chickabee it looks pretty expensive - my organic pellets are cheaper than that!

 

Don't think I'd use it regularly, but as they have anti-peck spray and stuff that can be tricky to get at short notice it's a useful add-on

I've used it for dog food as its same price as the cheapest online shop and with the guaranteed delivery slot its good especially when you need to know when its coming so I have been pleased the dogs have also had several free samples and Christmas hats! Haven't used it for chicken bits though will have a look next time.
