I am sure I have read it on here somewhere.....

 

but we have a Go in a large WIR and allow about 1 hour free ranging everyday...

 

We have 3 hybrids at present in the GO and have had 4 quite happily in there before....

 

We would love to have rescue 2 more hens from BHWT...for intros we were thinking of getting another small cheap hen house and splitting the wir.... When they are hopefully all happy together do you think they would all try and fit in one hen house...and if so could you get 5 in a go ????

 

Or should I just start looking at a Cube ????

 

Wise people on omlet what do you think ????

Overcrowding causes a ton of problems HarrisonFamily. On the positive side the BHWT hens will think they are back home.

I would agree that a Go would not be adequate for 5 chickens. A cube would be ideal, although the ex batts would struggle initially with the steps. They will need to recuperate and build up some muscle before they would be ready for a cube.

So a cube for the ones I have and then a go for the ex bats until they can all live happily ever after is the plan .....now just to decide on the colour........

Chickabee you may be right....I have just bought a cube (a green and yellow one from omlet) and I am sure 3 new chickens would be better than 2....

Now I just need a local rehoming.....
