One Man Banned
Well last night the aftermath of the water crisis was resolved. We can now use our tap water as normal as it's been declared fit to drink. FINALLY!! Now means that those who need to clean up the aftermath of the floods can get on with it too. I went to our Volvo dealer on Monday to order a part and they're insurance claim is for £3million. They had 98 cars on site and 96 were written off with flood damage - even customers cars got caught up in it. A xx
SarahJo
Good news - but does not make up with all the loss and illness caused, good for you for keeping your chin up, and never once moaning about being a victim. Best wishes

Cate in NZ
Andrew, such good news. We take our drinking water so much for granted that it's hard to imagine coping without it for so long.
Guest
Good news Andrew It seems really hard to imagine all the rain that we had only a week or so ago, now the weather is so nice Heres to more sunshine and the inevitable water shortages that will bring

One Man Banned
But Andrew!Does that mean you dont HAVE to drink wine all the time Alas, yes....BUT it does mean I can really play with my new coffee machine Its all plumbed in to the mains water and waste and it doesn't half make a cracking espresso, latte, mocha..............!! Might have to have a coffee morning at mine so I can really give it some welly - it can cope with doing 200+ cups per day We haven't really had to waste much water as it has been flowing through the taps for flushing loo's etc for a week - it was so chlorinated tho - it was like showering at a swimming pool - so that should have killed any nasties and they've tested it solidly for days to make sure it is now safe to drink. I only hope that people have learned to be more responsible with water after this and don't waste it from now on, after all they've coped for two weeks without it "on-tap" (groan groan) A xx
