TAJ
I know Omlet do not allow cockerels to be advertised, but any suggestion of where I can find one? For the 1st time in years I have no male with my girlies, I quite fancy a cream leg bar boy. Any suggestions? Tracy
Olly
Look on the Omlet Marketplace? Or try Practical Poultry forum? Otherwise just Google 'poultry suppliers' in your area.
Space Chick
Newland Poultry had some and they are great suppliers too! http://www.newlandpoultry.com
Beantree
You may find one on Preloved. That's where we advertised two of ours and found good homes for them. Be prepared to pay as we priced ours at £20 to remove enquiries from 'undesirables'.
Chortle Chook
How about 'Chucks for Sale' on Facebook? Its at https://www.facebook.com/groups/333344726717856/ However when it's my turn, I'll go somwhere where there are a few to choose from e.g. a show so that I can hear them crow and be certain to get one who does a nice full 'cock-a-doodle-doo' as opposed to a strangled cat noise like my little Silkie Dill or a high pitched screech like my neighbour's Pekin boy. whoopsie
There are loads o them on the Omlet Marketplace i've just been on there. Also where are you? Second Chance Animal Rescue (in Kent) has lots and lots of cockerels for rehoming, even one very lovely Silkie that i'd take if I could! TAJ
Newland Poultry had some and they are great suppliers too! http://www.newlandpoultry.com Thanks space chick, I have visited them and Mr Cream Legbar is now at home with 17 girls to look after. All looking good so far, so much easier than introducing hens!! Tracy
