fourfinches
We have painters in at the moment painting the outside of our house. They have been fascinated watching the chickens. I went out to check for eggs this afternoon and there were two in the nest box, one newly laid - Lavender was just leaving! I took the eggs over to the painters and they both held the warm egg. The look of sheer wonder on their faces was amazing . They were both amazed at the heat in the egg. It was great to see two grown men drop their guard completely and just react in such childlike amazement. I love picking up warm eggs but hadn't realised how much I take it for granted Morag
Egluntyne
Lovely isn't it. Our builder was very taken with my chickens. He was seriously tempted to get a couple himself....I'm still working on him. He was always glad to have the eggs!
Karen & co.
How lovely While we were renting recently, the girls stayed in our garden, as we were only a few hundred yards away, the brickie kept popping in to the run to let them out, or just sit and watch them karen x
Mrs Frugal
We had builders in last Autumn and they kept wandering over to the chicken run to have a look at what the girls were doing .
craftyhunnypie
Funny men aren't they? They give us the impression that they are so macho, but really beneath that skin is a soppy, gentle sweet person who loves chickens!!!!!! It tickles me! Couperwife
We had our roof done a few weeks ago and the roofer was impressed with the chickens. I also love picking up warm eggs,
Jules.
We had our outside tap fitted recently, & I was working on J who did it to get him to get an Eglu. I even told him that I wanted to upgrade to a cube & my Eglu was for sale He's not got back to me, but he was very impressed with it. Lesley
....and did you pay all these men for sitting around watching chooks? My son is the same - he complains if I ask him to do any work which involves being in with the chickens as he always manages to put his drill down in some poop - but then he watches them and tells me what they're all doing
