Luvachicken
Well, Queenie's chest seemed to be a lot better - her breathing hasn't been laboured at all, but her poo still contains a lot of water which is still making her knickers dirty. So today I phoned the vet to see if our usual vet was there but typically not until Monday. The receptionist did say that the vet today was very good with chickens so we went for that. He said her chest was clear Then he shaved off most of her knickers and said she had some kind of tummy infection. He said to bath her and then apply some cream because her skin was a bit red and to give her some more antibiotics for a week. I really hope this sorts her out
Beantree
Well no-one can ever say your weren't keeping on top of her problems Luvachicken. Hope she is fully better soon. We get hens with red bottoms for no apparent reason and a bit of cream and the problem disappears. E45 works very well and so does Tea Tree and even just Vaseline.
