Snowy
My poor chooks! I've been sat by the open patio doors this evening, so decided to let the chooks put themselves to bed. I've just been to close their runs and found that the door to the green eglu run was already closed! When I checked the purple eglu - yes you guessed it - 7 chickens in there! And not one in the nest box. Poor girls They've now been rearranged with some protesting. And there was me worrying about how they would manage when they all have to share a cube. Happy-Mama
At least you know they will be happy sharing together in your new cube, and no fighting over space

Lesley
They like to huddle up. When we had two Mark 1 Eglus right next to each other, all 10 hens would squash into one Eglu quite regularly. We gave up moving them in the end and just left them to it!

chocchick
We've had 10 in one and Jerryldene being a miserable old wotsit in the second and none in the third Did they go into a second storey? I like it when they stand on one another.
feemcg
No-one has slept in my pink eglu for weeks now - 9 in the cube (10 on the nights I lift Sandy in ) and the 4 wee ones in the purple eglu......mmmm, might need to use it for more chicks, no point in it lying doing nothing
Cate in NZ
When we had a much larger flock than we have now I'd regularly have 7 or 8 all crammed into one eglu. At first I used to move a couple of them to ease the congestion in there, but got bored with that game when it became apparent that they really did all want to sleep together .
