How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Has anyone used Burlybed or any other miscanthus bedding? Thoughts?

Looks like red mite heaven Mullethunter. Just had a look on their web site.

I think it may well be a Cornish thing (this particular make anyway) so maybe it hasn't got far out of the county yet. I may try a bale when I run out of what I've got and I'll let you know how I get on.

I use miscanthus/elephant grass and have done for about three years in a wooden coop. I think it's great, it smells nice and I am unaware of a mite problem.

It's cheap, a little goes a long way and it doesn't break down quickly. In the wet winter our garden was very floody, the chickens were paddling in cold water. We emptied just one bale into their run which gave them a warmer, drier, if a little bouncy area to walk on. In March we bagged it up and took it to the dump. It never got too smelly. We bought two bales in November and we are still not half way through the second one. I would recommend it.

It's elephant grass. I've just read the web site. A local chicken farm uses this it's supposed to be really good. Give it a brand name and I suppose you can charge a big more for it, sorry bit of a cynic about these things
