Luvachicken
I picked up a leaflet for Clover yoyo gadgets. Then I looked up how to make them and basically its a circle of material gathered up into some kind of frilly circle so I don't get why I would need the gadget. Does anyone use them and what do they do ? How do you stop the edges of the circle fraying ?
Valkyrie
Well I have some but not got as far as testing them out! Again up at the back of my room out of reach. I think it's all tucked in somehow - maybe it's like folding over hem thing. But they look interesting. I think I have a butterfly one but it's been a while . . . Snowy
I've made them without using the gadget. Cut out your circle of fabric. Using a long running stitch, sew around the edge, turning over a small hem as you go. Then just pull the stitching tight and it will form the yoyo. Dead simple, no gadget required. Valkyrie
Sucker for gadgets, me. I bought a needle threader gadget at the show. Great if you are doing it from the reel - aha found a fault design - can't do that when you have the fabric on the other end! Back to conventional threaders then!!!!
