Dolly
Bought a Hentastic treat block today for my girls but so far they've completely ignored it. Mind you, they're free ranging at the moment so are busying themselves doing more interesting things in the garden Has anyone had success with these? Never seen one before but they sound quite good for them with herbs, vitamins, protein etc
Guest
My girls refuse to eat them so a complete waste of money, better off with broccoli IMO
Luvachicken
I tried them once, the girls did seem to enjoy it but then I spotted a thread on here that said they contained a lot of suet/fat so I took it off them and threw it away. I can't find the thread but I think other treats like fresh veg are better.
Henergy
Mine love them but I won't be buying again as it didn't last long - they devoured it in an hour so not a good buy.
Chickabee
Same here, mine went crazy for theirs, lasted no time at all. Kept the hanging thing, as I thought I might be able to stuff it with something a bit more healthy
Dolly
Well I won't be worrying about the block being unhealthy for them, as they won't even look at it! Looks like the wild birds will be getting an early Christmas present!
Luvachicken
Oh dear, but lucky wild birds though
cloud
We bought a Nutri-Peck Block to give the new girls something to occupy them when we are out and they cooped up in the Eglu Run in the hope it would reduce any bullying. But there were not interested. Eventually one of older girl found it and workout how to attack it without it swinging uncontrollably - we had hung it in the new girl's run. I looked like she might finish it in one sitting, but after we evicted her we notice on of the new girls, Mimi, who had been watching intensely from a safe difference, immediately attacked it in the same way - from the top so it didn't swing. Clever little hen I thought you've learnt that quickly, but after a few peck she had either decided it was not worth the effort she didn't like it. jjiande
I bought one for their 'birthday' (I know, I know) and they totally ignored it. The robin that goes into their WIR liked it, though...
