Pottage
Does anyone have any experience of this breeder please? We are looking at sending our hens there to board in February for 3 weeks and they have sent me a lovely email that has alleviated many of the concerns I have about leaving my girls. Just one small thing that puts me off, however, is the fact they use chicken wire on their runs rather than galvanised mesh. I know from reading too many fox attack stories on here and other sites that this is reasonably easy for a fox to penetrate. I am perhaps worrying unnecessarily but if anyone has any experience of this place I would really appreciate your opinions. http://www.cockandpullet.net/ This is an example of what they will be staying in
Grandmashazzie
Do they perhaps have another electric fence around the whole enclosure? It would seem odd to board someone else's chickens in a run with just chicken wire, which as you says not fox proof.
Chickabee
I would have thought that they will be there all day, and put the hens away at night. Shutting them in the roosting area at night. That sounds fine to me
