I put my 5 'babies' (3 18-weeks and 2 16-weeks) in their new go-up for the first time after dark last night. (They've been in a ground-level eglu up to now.) This morning at 7.30am when I opened the door they stood looking in horror at the distance to the ground. You could see them thinking 'No way am I jumping down there!' I tried everything to persuade them to come down but they weren't having it. In the end I left them to it - didn't want to frighten them by giving them a push, as I thought they might not go back up the steps in the evening. It took 4 hours before one of them braved the steps, and then the others quickly followed.

Went out this evening at 6.30 to put them to bed, thinking I'd have a real hassle - but no problem. They'd all climbed the stairs and were happily sitting in the coop. Funny little creatures! :D
