patsylabrador
I'm into this idea of having a new adventure every day. It doesn't have to be anything fantastic, in fact it's often quite trivial but it is delightful. For example, thinking about how many different shades of blue you see during the day - a huge amount by the way. It is like my favourite Terry Pratchett quote - open your eyes then open them again. I am trying to see the beauty and colour in mundane things. It is cheery. The theory is that although we can't all go on incredible adventures we can have new little experiences all the time. We have a dusty unloved banjo and I was dusting it and thought if I played it then it wouldn't be dusty. That's my new adventure - I am going to bluegrass the rhyming word out of that banjo. I'm excited.
Valkyrie
That sounds lovely. Yesterday in the car, driving along I saw a cloud that looked like a stegosaurus. Or perhaps it was 2 bunnies behind a hill. Either way it made me smile and it can't be bad if something simple makes you happy. Enjoy that banjo! chickencam
I had a day like that last week, went to the hairdressers then walked home along my favourite row of shops which includes several charity shops. The sun was shining so I treated myself to a pot of earl grey tea and sat in the sun outside the cafe reading my book for 20 minutes. I too have been trying to do something a little different each day, mostly this has been comprised of sorting out my house so far with little treats thrown in. Daphne
What a positive attitude - good on you Things are a bit unrelaxing at the moment, I must remember to try to do this Love the stegosaurus analogy - we have a row of rocky outcrops on hills about 20km in the distance from our house in Portugal. I have nicknamed them Stegosaurus Rocks as that is what they remind me of
