Helen&Lee
Well, this last week has gone so slow but - THEY WILL BE HERE TOMORROW The cube is the second delivery which will give us time to pick the other chooks up. Hubby has been hard at work and here (hopefully) are so pictures of the run.... and here from the other direction! They will not get out to free range much during the week because of our working hours so we wanted to give them a decent area... we are hoping this will be Okay. Been out today to get some Greenhouse shading We live in a rural area - we don't think (watch this space) that foxes will be a problem durining the day and they will be shut in the cube at night - but can you see anything we might have missed? Many Thanks for all help so far, Helen

Martin B
Is there a roof? Or an are where they can escape from the rain? I suppose they could go under the cube. But if the whole area gets wet then it will start to smell.
Helen&Lee
The greenhouse is part of the run - we have left the roof on that as it is under a tree and meshed the sides. One side of the greenhouse is soil which is dry so we have left that for a dustbath. The run attached the greenhouse which is where the cube will go has no roof on it - we were going to see how it goes..... Helen
Martin B
I thought the greenhouse would be full of tomatos and stuff. Good Idea then!

BeckyBoo
I had an image in my head of your chooks, whilst you were out, sitting cross legged on bar stools round the pool in their new luxury accomodation, then hurriedly going back to foraging and other chook activities when you got home! You could put in a couple of outside roosts for them - big old branches or logs - they're also great for harbouring tasty bugs! You can move them round to keep chookies interested. Have a really great day and don't forget to post more piccies once the run is occupied! Mrs Bertie
