soapdragon
I have been using a stepper for some time as I cannot run due to bursitis in my right hip. So far has worked really well for me as I use it in front of the TV so catch up on Cash in the Attic, Escape to the Country (oooohhh, Alistair Appleton ) and other such programmes that OH would not want to watch! I have had 2 steppers - both 2nd hand - and the last one recently began to 'throw out' tiny black balls which made a huge mess in the bedroom and took lots of clearing up - not practical everyday! I looked on Amazon and found a stepper that had good reviews and was reasonably priced and it arrived yesterday. I used it yesterday and it was great but, when I used it this morning, those horrible little back balls started pinging out again!!! OH says that its because I am putting all my weight on it and the instructions do tell you not to do this but I am clueless as to how I can use it if I don't I do step very fast and don't always go down to the bottom of each step (hope that makes sense.....I mean some of my steps are shallow.) OH thinks thats a prob too. In short I don't know what to do next.....there seems to be no way of raising a question with either Amazon or the seller and so the only option would be to send it back but that seems a bit of a faff with Amazon too............am I doing anything wrong tecnique wise or is the machine faulty As usual any wise words much appreciated! The Dogmother
I would send it back as it's obviously not fit for purpose. I can't see how you're supposed to use it without putting at least some weight on it though
soapdragon
My lovely neighbour came over yesterday to ask if I wanted his 'old' stepper as he and his wife had hip/knee probs and could no longer use it! Its a different 'operation' to the 'faulty' one from Amazon which means that is on a belt rather than hydraulic so cannot chuck anything out! A Reebock tho so a good make! Needless to say I have packaged up the faulty one for return to Amazon via Click and Collect tomorrow and set the belt driven one up in front of the tellie in the bedroom...........sometimes life works in mysterious ways

soapdragon
Well, that will teach me! Got carried away on the new stepper and woke yesterday with lower back muscles in agony so now hobbling round like Mrs Overall. Desperate to get back on the machine though......maybe will give it another try tomorrow; guess I hadn't realised how different the side to side motion was compared with the basic up and down
