patsylabrador
Just thought I'd recommend the MBNA Thames Clippers. We used them the other day to get to the Greenwich Peninsula. They're very esy to use, more of a river bus with many stops and you can use your oyster card. The staff are helpful and friendly and of course you get some amazing views and if you're on one of the bigger ones a coffee and toilets. Ideal, especially for people who hate the Tube. We caught ours at Westminster right under the Eye. They go a fair speed too as you approach Greenwich, about 40mph I think so it's quite fun. So if London is on your agenda this year they're worth checking out. Also, we did the Emirates cable-car which I loved. We didn't bother getting off the other side, we've been told it's dull and it did look dull so we did a round trip. We popped inside the O2 arena for lunch which I hadn't been to before. That was nice too, convenient but not somewhere I'd rush back too. I prefer the messy, crowded middle of London.

gavclojak
Funny enough we were driving back from Canary Wharf the other day and I promised OH we would do the cable cars but the closer I got the more I was sure I would bottle our and yes I did!! I just didn't facy it at all. My friend has just moved into a flat in woolwich which is right on the Thames and you can catch the water taxi right outside his flat. It's such a good idea and reasonably cheap! I didn't even know it existed but a lot cheaper that the "tourist" trip and does the same job....win win
