We are moving house and won't have room for the walk in run we have now. As we now only have 3 pekin bantams I was looking at getting the eglu go up. The girls currently have a 7x10 foot run and free range in the garden all day. Do u think they will adjust ok to the eglu go up. Does anyone have any experience of moving their girls to a smaller run/area and did they adjust ok? Also if anyone has the go up I'd be intersted to know what u think. Thanks x

I have a Go Up and love it. It's dead easy to clean, doesn't take a lot of space and gives the chickens a nice shelter under the house.

I had 3 New Hampshire bantams in there which was fine. Now have 2 New Hampshires and 2 Dutch bantams, which are a lot smaller.

My New Hampshires are bantams as well, but the Dutchies are still a bit smaller. I boarded them with my usual place who hatched the Dutchies and they just chucked them together in a new coop. Came to pick em up after a week and all has been well. Ginger does boss them around quite a bit, but they are much faster than she is.

I have a cube & the go up & to be honest being older ( not immobile or any such) I do struggle with cleaning the go up run. The door is very narrow & the ladder gets in the way too. Aside of this the go up is great for a few birds but I'd definately recommend you add the wheels so you can just move it when you need to deep clean the run.
