After 8 years of keeping chickens they still surprise me. One of my youngsters sometimes lays 2 eggs at the same time daily.

 

Not double yolkers though she does that frequently but completely separate with their own yolk. Usually one has more of a shell than the other and they're both soft which isn't surprising, they wouldn't be in long enough to both get coated properly. What's more surprising is that the other monkeys haven't eaten them before I find them in the cube.

We think that one of our new girls did this the other day, she lays almost white eggs and we had one with a rough calcified she'll first then a perfectly smooth one. Those were her first eggs with us and she has laid one a day since
