The Dogmother
You shouldn't need any extra insulation unless you live in Scandinavia - they are all double shell insulated.
Patricia W
Quite agree. My lot have lived through temps as low as -12. All I do is close the door.
The Dogmother
Mind you, the Go isn't as well constructed as the classic and mark 1 Cube, it could be less insulated. Your chooks have a body temperature of about 105deg, and warm feather duvets to keep them warm. You also need to make sure that none of the ventilation gaps are blocked, otherwise you will get a build up of ammonia, which could kill them. Cat tails
Chickens are fine in the Go. Have had -10 and no problems. I do have the insulation inserts for the Go, but it’s still in the packaging. So if you do want to get it, I’m happy to sell mine, but it would be an overseas shipping as I live in the Netherlands.
