clucker1
Hi All Haven't been on here for ages. I’ve got my second broody ever and tbh I can’t remember what I did last time, it was soo long ago. She is a Maran hybrid, approx 6/7 months old and likes the nest! I’ve popped her out to free range for the last couple of days and shut the run door (much to her disgust), any other tips? There used to be a health section on here but I can’t find it. Luvachicken
3 days and 3 nights in a dog crate raised off the ground, with food and water, usually does the trick 😊
clucker1
Thank you, Luvachicken. I googled it last night and came up with your answer too. So, last night we were busy putting the poor girl in our dog crate by torch light! Will let her out on Thursday and see how she goes, hopefully not to the nest box. Meanwhile, I’ve just seen the list of my old chickens who are now in the land of chicken heaven, with the exception of Matilda our very pretty skyline who must be coming up for 8 years old and has laid eggs this year, bless her. Thank you again 😀🐓.
Luvachicken
You're welcome 😊 I hope it works for her. It has been chilly the last few nights so hopefully that will help her. One of my very first chickens, 10 years ago now, was called Matilda too.
