Luvachicken
Does anyone do yoga ? I was thinking of doing some at home at some point, but could really do with a mat. There are so many to pick from and I don't know where to start. What thickness would you suggest ? And how much should it cost ? Also it would need to go on a Karndean floor. Thanks for any suggestions x
mullethunter
I LOVE yoga. I go (which now means go upstairs and log in to a live streamed class) twice a week. For my first 2 years I used a mat from TKMaxx which cost about £12. It was absolutely fine. The only reason I stopped using it was because I’d got too much sand and grass stuck to it from using it outside. 5mm would be fine. But go for 6 or 7 if you want a bit more comfort. You can spend absolutely silly money on a yoga mat, but unless it’s really important to you to have something super sustainable, you absolutely don’t need to. There are lots of free sessions on YouTube and being streamed. But if you’re interested, the lovely studio I go to www.oceanflowyoga.co.uk are streaming all their classes from their beautiful studio overlooking fistral beach in Newquay now. At 10 tomorrow (Sunday) morning they have a special slow session particularly suitable for beginners and pyjamas!

Luvachicken
Going to use the 2 roll mats we have in the loft for now. We did do the Joe Wicks exercise at school this morning, golly, I am not as bendy as I used to be, but am going to that on the mornings extra to the ones at school.
