Egluntyne
I made this today. I followed the recipe to the letter and it was very easy.......but..........it was far too intensively chocolatey for our taste and much too dense in texture. I might make it again with less rich chocolate and maybe a third to half as much cream again to slacken it up a bit. It has possibilities....but as it was none of us could manage more than three or four mouthfuls. Moral of the story...always have a trial run with a new recipe before dishing it up at a dinner party. Muppet81
I found it just the same. Everyone enjoyed the first mouthful then it became hard work. Have you tried her passionfruit and ginger trifle though? The only problem with that is not eating it all The easiest thing i have ever thrown together and gorgeous
myles
We've also made this and found it to chocolaty and to dense. So at the third attempt I used two thirds G&B's 70%, one third their milk chocolate and added a bit more marshmallow. I also always hand beat cream because I find the consistency better, though not a five minute start to finish job !!. This time it is soft and good to eat, so might be worth giving it another go Anne
Egluntyne
Thanks for that...I wondered about tweaking the ingredients a bit. Will have a bash.
