Laura007
colin to win strictly come dancing!!!!!!!!!!!!! ooooo what a suprise zoe gets top marks from the judges, even though her dancing was out of time and not very exciting. cant help but think that the order in which the couples came out was so that zoe could get a higher mark with the judges. colin was great in the first round and his marks reflected it, but zoe got 38! in the latin and colin only got 36!!!!!!! you have got to be having a laff. hopefully darren will whip 2nd from under zoes nose and colin will be champ. it may come across that i dont like zoe, this is not true. what i dont like is the way the judges have marked her so highly week after week even when she has given a substandard performance. come on colin, sock it to 'em! Lesley
I think I'll have to agree Laura - nothing against Zoe as you say, but the judges do seem to be a bit blinkered.
Cinnamon
I am gutted that Colin didn't win, although Darren was wonderful too..........& you know how us Brits are about an underdog! I liked the way Darren looked very manly throughout, whereas Colin often looked a little bit camp, although he was a better dancer. I too got annoyed with Zoe,who was a good dancer & looked "right" with the divine Ian. But she kept hanging onto his neck during the non-dancing talky bits, & that got on my nerves. He didn't look too thrilled either! I must add that I think Colin & Erins last dance lost the comp for them as it was just cringe worthy
Guest
I think all 3 couples were so good that I didn't want a final at all. I agree that Colin's last dance lost it for him. Bruno was completely besotted with Zoe all the way through, so much that he couldn't hide it! This made his scoring biased. I didn't really mind which couple won, but I'm very pleased for Darren because he thought he would be 3rd and to see his face when he won was just wonderful. What will we do on Saturday nights now? Did you see Brendan's dance with the AWFUL Fiona Phillips? She was so bad he just picked her up and carried her!
Cinnamon
Did you see Brendan's dance with the AWFUL Fiona Phillips? She was so bad he just picked her up and carried her! Ooooohhhhh - I didn't see it Ginette, but I really do not like that Brendan. There is something about him that just makes me want to turn over (the channel, that is!) My fave pro dancers are Lillia who is so sweet, tiny & pretty, Ian who is lovely & Anton who seems like a really nice chap
Mel (& Paul)
We actually watched the final! Not because we particularly like the programme but as Darren Gough was in the final Paul wanted to watch it (any thing even slightly related to cricket ) I have to say I did NOT like Colins last dance at all and I think that is what lost it for him. Just glad I missed Fiona Phillips, never liked her, no reason why she just irritates me (and I am sure I would irritate her )
Guest
Brendan is a superb dancer though! He must have been totally gutted to get landed with Fiona. I am an Anton fan - I especially like to watch him dance the Latin stuff which is not his expertise but he is so good. I saw him dance the Saturday Night Fever dance for Children in Need and it was wonderful. Ian fascinates me. He looks such a wimp (all that blonde and blue eyes) but obviously isn't. And he's a very good dancer!
Laura007
i am a huge anton fan, i dont know what it is about him but i find myself smirking all the time when he is on. what was colin thinking of doing that dreadful dance in the showdown. how awful. i was gutted that he lost, but pleased darren won with a fine last dance. colin's snakehips and razzamatzz will always be a highlight. it's also nice to see i am not alone in thinking the judging was a bit off! Lesley
I liked Colin's last dance - i thought it was hilarious and I suppose he had nothing to prove by then I also like Zoe's last dance - I can just about remember when I could do the splits
Mel (& Paul)
oh yes, those heady days of being able to do the splits. I remember those. Now its just a question of chocolate or strawberry sauce on my banana spilt

The Dogmother
I have to say I did NOT like Colins last dance at all and I think that is what lost it for him. Just glad I missed Fiona Phillips, never liked her, no reason why she just irritates me (and I am sure I would irritate her ) My thoughts too Mel. I find Zoe Ball incredibly irritating as well. I fancy the pants off Colin Jackson and was dismayed at their last dance - they threw it away. Having said that Darren has come so far and achieved so much without the natural grace and ability that Colin has, so hats off to him for winning - he really deserved it. Cinnamon
I really loved Zoes last dance too. Who else spent all of Sunday singing "La la la la la America!!!" I drove The Hubby mad
Lesley
and now you've started all of us off! I'll have to go and put a skirt on now - no good singing that wearing trousers!
