Guest
Is actually missing her boy dreadfully. Funny how I can go on holiday on my own and not feel so lost without him but he's gone to his Dad for the first time overnight and I just don't know what to do without him. After he went yesterday I stopped working and just lounged around all day, by 7pm I was so bored I nearly went to bed - I managed to hold out until 9. This morning its just the same feeling of not knowing what to do without him. Still I'm sure his faterh wont want him overnight too often, usually 3 hours on the odd Sunday is about the best he can do and the last time he managed that they took him shopping at Asda. Cinnamon
Oh Pengy, its something that never goes away. My daughters were away all weekend last weekend, at a Sea Cadets camp & I really missed them. They are 12 & 14 The Hubby was away on Saturday night too at his Masonic thing, so that was very, very odd indeed. I don't think I have ever had the whole house to myself for a whole evening before
Egluntyne
You never stop worrying about them. That is what mothers are for.
nicki9
It's always weird when your kids are not around. I know I spend ages looking forward to their occasional night at gran's, and then when it arrives I spend most of the time thinking about the kids and putting off doing things because it would be "more fun" with them. It definitely feels strangest when you are at home without them, a big empty space!

Guest
Mind you I am going to enjoy a nice bath ALL BY MYSELF! A rarity nowdays. Oh and I sniggered when I realised the clocks went back that should mean James got up at around 4.30am!!!!
nicki9
Good for you! Yes, clocks going back is definitely a good weekend for children to visit people you are not too fond of. hhmmm think I'll book the mother-in-law for next year (lol )
Guest
I actually think he is staying at Nanna's whether or not Daddy is there I don't know but it was supposed to be a sleepover with Nanna, someone else who doesn't put herself out too much to see him. Egluntyne
someone else who doesn't put herself out too much to see him. How sad and unusual for Nanna to not be interested in a littley. That must be why your ex is the way he is.
Guest
Oh she's interested but won't do anything about it, when I had a row with him and he didn't see James for 6 months we told her she was welcome, if she called from Wickford we would come and pick her up (she can get there easily on her bus pass) but not a word. She could also ask her daughter to bring her over but she doesn't. She has other grandchildren but they are much older and are always after money so she does avoid them a bit but James is so sweet. It's her loss though.
Clash City Rocker
WHAT... "lounged around all day" "nice long bath"!!!!! Today I'm "home alone", Mrs Clash City Rocker & "The Brat" on an "All Dayer" shopping @ "Merry Hell". My Plan:- 1. Buy Papers 2. Potter in the Garden. 3. Watch Footy.......Sorted , but no Without fail if I'm "home alone" there is always a "LIST"!!!!! todays include Dark Washing & Bed Linen Tidy Leaves Chickens? Change Clocks First Aid Handouts for Monday. then in the "Brats" handwriting Mend Light School Uniform be home at 5.00 (this could mean anything!!) "Long bath indeed"
Guest
I don't do lists. I think list is a 4 letter word! I am excited that he is due home soon, ex was bringing him back at 12 but I said I wouldn't be in until 12.30 and I think he said OK. Of course I am in, I have no life that doesn't invlove work or James but it doesn't pay to let him know that. I should really have said bring him back at 3 BUT I suspect there is football on and if ex wants to watch it that means James would be dragged to a packed pub. He will not put himself out for his son.
Clash City Rocker
you "don't do lists" I'm sure we spoke about "runnung away together" before !!!
Guest
We did. I don't do lists. I do like the Clash, although not as much as the Jam. Where can we run to?
Clash City Rocker
Could we "walk quickly" rather than "Run" (my knee's aren't as young as they were). Is the Circus still an option for runaways ? I'm thinking more "Jet-Set" with the Cirque De Soleil, Rather than "Gypsie" with Billy Smart. I have Juggling WHILE Unicycling skills and I'm sure you could do some Contortionist work? "Downtown Disney here we come"
Guest
Well ex brought James home an hour and a half late. James said he had toast for lunch. They came home with a carved pumpkin (the girlfriend) and a couple of bits of halloween tat and James was wearing new clothes. Now they have bought him an OK pair of trousers (sorta fit) a long sleeved T shirt thing and a khaki T shirt. Now you would think his Dad would remember that we NEVER put him in long sleeves because he chews his sleeves (you should see the state of his school sweatshirts). Also MIL used to buy him khaki stuff and complain that I never dressed him in it. It's because he has my colouring and anything brown or khaki just makes him look washed out or yellowy. There is never any thought with them.

Clash City Rocker
Yes unicycling with bad knee's is easy (see clash's photos), it's just running & walking that i'm begining to find difficult!!!!
